We're constantly told the importance of reading with your child. But what about your own reading needs? As even the most the committed bookworm knows, being a parent fundamentally changes how you read.

Part of Mumsnet Academy

This workshop, led by our expert Bibliotherapists, will guide you through the complex path of parenthood via a careful selection of books. Together we will explore your own reading journey and how books have helped to shape who you are. We will discuss fiction and non-fiction books that take you into the mind of your child, and those that help you understand your role as a parent in new ways. We'll look at how and when you read, whether with or without your children. And we'll discuss those crucial works that can help you and your kids deal with particular pressures of home and school life.

You will leave the workshop with some great ideas for new reading habits, as well as an excellent book-list, including a selection of children’s book titles. A perfect prescription for re-invigorating and refreshing any tired parental brain.

This workshop is part of Mumsnet Academy. It is open to anyone but particularly aimed at parents. It is not suitable for children.
